5 Ways to Improve Your Business Blog

Managing a consistent and high quality blog can be challenging, but it’s a hugely rewarding marketing avenue to maintain. Follow these tips to build up your blog and improve your content marketing strategy!
1. Keep it up
Blogging can take a lot of time, there’s no two ways about it. Ensuring the content you post properly represents your company and is of a high editorial quality will be time-consuming, and it might not seem worth it at first when your blog posts linger unread and abandoned in the ancient pages of your blogroll, but you need to keep it up!
Like social media, blogs are a part of modern “snowball marketing”. The response to your early posts might not seem worth the effort, but keep it up and you’ll quickly find that readership and engagement picks up, and soon enough your blog will be generating leads for you in audiences you never expected to reach.
2. Stay relevant
Readers on a blog about plumbing don’t want to read about recipes, and people going through a cooking blog aren’t trying to fix their sinks. When your blog represents your business, it is important you keep it relevant to your business, and what your business does.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t talk about your business itself though! As well as blogging about your industry you should be blogging about the business itself: major changes, office events, and employee spotlights are all a great way to add a human element to your website without going off-topic.
